MEET Bruce   M Goforth

Imagination, artistry and architectural experience translate into great living spaces, and Bruce has them all.

Driven by a respect for the outdoors and creation of memories that come from a rural upbringing in a 100 year-old home on Lake “Toho” Tohopekaliga, Florida, Bruce credits his early appreciation and stewardship of nature to fishing, canoeing and imaginative play on the family’s five acres.

After earning a Bachelor of Science degree in visual arts interior design from Florida State University, Bruce’s early career led him through many hands-on design experiences that would shape his work ethic. He spent two years learning how to mold, carve and sand cast bronze and aluminum while working at the Cosanti Foundation, a noted foundry started by architect and visionary Paolo Soleri in Paradise Valley, Arizona. This foundry experience was invaluable to Bruce’s vision of what a studio means, and the processes that are essential and integral to any type of design.

Bruce’s nearly two decades of practical business experience guiding clients through the design and construction process were shaped while working in the design department of a commercial architect in central Florida. He believes that working for an architect did not make him one, but he is certain it has made him a better interior designer. By understanding building systems and structures, Bruce opens his toolbox to endless possibilities.  He knows good coordination with all disciplines is essential to great design.

Bruce brings a unique sensory approach to each new project.  He has a passion for the timeless color and structural palettes found in classic movies, which he uses for inspiration when he designs.  He is personable, yet focused, and immediately puts clients at ease.

“A designer should bring an aesthetic to a space that reflects and inspires an individual’s life and creates a personal experience.”
